Event URL: Event Link
Date/Time: March 22-25, 2018

This year’s NHMA conference will highlight Federal government, corporations, medical schools, social enterprises and others enhancing prevention, health and behavioral health treatment, health professions education, and research that enhance the health of Hispanic patients. More than 600 physicians, health professionals, government, faculty, and business leaders, and others are expected. The conference will feature nationally recognized experts with experience with Hispanic populations. CME units will be provided.

Hispanics are the country’s largest ethnic minority group with potentially 30 million uninsured in the U.S. The ACA has provided new insurance to 10 million Hispanics, yet there are only 5% of U.S. physicians who are Hispanic. We need to share critical strategies so that all physicians and providers who care for Hispanic populations are more adept at providing quality patient-centered care.

The NHMA represents over 50,000 Hispanic physicians in the United States, who are dedicated to serving the Hispanic and other underserved communities across the nation with culturally appropriate quality health care.
