The National Minority Quality Forum is hosting the 2016 summit in collaboration with the Congressional Black Caucus Health Braintrust and the American Medical Association. In addition, the American Medical Association Minority Affairs Section invites all Summit participants to share their passion for medicine on the morning of Wednesday, April 13 during the AMA Doctors Back to School™ (DBTS) program. This pipeline program focuses on the need for more minority physicians by encouraging children from underrepresented racial and ethnic groups to consider careers in medicine. Volunteer physicians and medical students discuss their personal career paths, explain their area of specialty, and discuss making strong academic and health choices. Summit participants from all health professions are welcome to volunteer.
